In February 2023, we started up a new planing mill in Newfoundland and supplied all the handling, optimization, and testing equipment. Our experienced installation teams installed all this equipment, which included a tilt hoist for rough lumber bundles, planer infeed transfers, a ProGrader automatic lumber grader, a slow-down belt, an optimized trim line, a sorter, and a stacker for finished products. The equipment was designed to process products between 8’ and 16’, and the process checks were carried out by Autolog. The Burton’s Cove team contributed greatly to this project.
